The foamy sponge material supports bacteria, supplying mechanical and biological filtration to your tank, helping to break down harmful waste, ammonia, and nitrite material, resulting in a cleaner living environment for your fish.  Can be affixed directly to the side of your aquarium using a suction cup, keeping it up out of substrate and safely to the side of your aquarium. These filters are great for breeding filters or secondary filters in your aquariums.
